SMS Terms

Program name and purpose

Porchlight Relay SMS alerts are optional account notification messages for registered caregivers and care-team members. Messages may notify an opted-in caregiver that a scheduled care confirmation or other care-circle item needs attention and direct the caregiver to sign in to Porchlight Relay for details.

Opt in

You opt in by signing in to Porchlight Relay, entering your own mobile number in Settings, and checking the SMS consent box. The SMS consent box is not pre-selected. SMS alerts are optional and are not required to use Porchlight Relay.

Message frequency and charges

Message frequency varies based on care-circle activity and your notification preferences. Message and data rates may apply.

Stop and help

Reply STOP to opt out of Porchlight Relay text alerts. Reply HELP for help. You may also manage SMS preferences in Porchlight Relay Settings.

Important limitations

Porchlight Relay SMS alerts are not emergency alerts and should not be used as the only method for time-critical care or medical decisions. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
